Product history: The Tellermine 42 was a German anti-tank mine widely used during World War II to disable or destroy armoured vehicles. Introduced as an improved version of earlier Tellermine models, it featured a large circular metal casing filled with high explosive and a pressure-activated fuse. Designed to detonate under the weight of a vehicle, it could damage tracks, wheels, or hulls. The Tellermine 42 was simple, reliable, and effective, making it suitable for mass production. It was commonly buried on roads, fields, and defensive lines, posing a serious threat to Allied armour and engineers throughout the war.
