1/16 - German Stick Grenades

Product history: German stick grenades, officially known as the Stielhandgranate, were iconic hand grenades used extensively by German forces during World War II. Their distinctive wooden handle provided increased throwing distance and leverage compared to compact grenades. The explosive charge was housed in a cylindrical metal head, detonated by a pull-cord friction igniter concealed inside the handle. Primarily designed as a concussion grenade, it was effective in trenches, buildings, and confined spaces. Some variants could be fitted with fragmentation sleeves for added lethality. Reliable and easy to manufacture, German stick grenades became one of the most recognizable infantry weapons of the war.
