1/16 - German Oil Drums Fuel Barrels

Product history: The German World War II fuel barrel was a standardized steel drum used by the Wehrmacht to store and transport gasoline, diesel, oil, and lubricants. Typically holding around 200 litres, the barrel was designed for durability and mass production. It featured rolled steel construction, reinforced ribs for strength, and sealed bungs to prevent leaks and contamination. Most barrels were painted field grey or dark blue and marked with stencilled text indicating contents and ownership. These fuel barrels were essential to Germany’s mechanized warfare, supporting tanks, trucks, and aircraft across all fronts while highlighting the importance of logistics in sustained military operations.
