1/16 - M3/M3A1 US Halftrack

Product history: The M3/M3A1 half-track was an American armoured personnel carrier used widely during the Second World War. Combining front wheels with rear tracks, it offered better cross-country movement than a truck while remaining easier to produce than a fully tracked vehicle. The M3 carried infantry, weapons, radios, or supplies, while the M3A1 added an improved pulpit mount for a machine gun. It served with US, British, Commonwealth, Soviet, and Free French forces. Half-tracks were used for troop transport, reconnaissance, command, ambulance, and weapons carrier roles. Reliable and versatile, the M3 became one of the best-known Allied vehicles of the war.
