1/16 - M24 Chaffee Light Tank

Product history: The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank introduced late in the Second World War to replace the older M3 and M5 Stuart. Armed with a 75 mm gun, it gave reconnaissance and light tank units much better firepower while remaining fast and mobile. Its sloped armour, torsion-bar suspension, and compact design made it a modern improvement over earlier light tanks. The Chaffee saw combat in northwest Europe from late 1944 and was valued for scouting, support, and rapid movement. Although not built to fight heavy tanks, it was reliable, agile, and remained in service with many armies after the war.
