1/16 - German machine gunner

Product history: The German MG34 gunner was a key member of a World War II infantry squad. The MG34 was Germany’s first widely used general-purpose machine gun, capable of being fired from a bipod, tripod, or vehicle mount. Chambered in 7.92mm, it had a high rate of fire and provided powerful suppressive fire. The gunner usually worked with assistants who carried spare barrels, ammunition belts, and tools. Though accurate and respected, the MG34 was expensive and slower to manufacture than the later MG42. German infantry tactics often centered on the machine-gun team, making the MG34 gunner vital in attack and defence.
