Product history: The German Stahlhelm was the standard combat helmet of German forces during World War II. Evolving from the First World War design, models such as the M35, M40, and M42 offered strong protection with a distinctive flared shape. Made from pressed steel, it protected soldiers from shell fragments and battlefield debris more than direct rifle fire. The helmet was used by the Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe, and other German units. Wartime production became simpler as materials and time grew scarce. Its recognizable profile became one of the most iconic symbols of the German soldier in the Second World War.
