1/16 - British Jerry Cans

Product history: The British jerry can was the Allied version of the German 20-liter fuel container, adopted after British forces encountered the superior German design in World War II. It replaced weaker 4-gallon “flimsy” cans, which often leaked or split during transport, especially in North Africa. British-made jerry cans kept the strong pressed-steel body, three-handle top, recessed sides, and secure cap, making them durable, stackable, and easy to carry. They were used for petrol, oil, and water, with markings or paint to identify contents. Reliable and reusable, the British jerry can greatly improved fuel supply for mobile warfare.
